Rev. Mike Warren, former General Baptist Director of Congregational Ministries, moved to Michigan in 2004 to plant a new church. The new church, “NorthPointe Church,” held its grand opening in September 2005. Church services are held in a rented space in Grand Blanc. Mike states, “The Grand Blanc community has been growing by about 1,000 people a year. The current population is about 35,000. In the average community there are about 50% of the people who are unchurched. That means there are about 17,500 unchurched people in the Grand Blanc area.” The Michigan Association Mission Board with National Missions is its sponsoring agencies.

Mike is an experienced pastor and leader. He has a BA and MA from Oakland City University and has twice attended church planter-related training events.

Elizabeth “Liz” Warren is the KidzPointe team leader, and she often leads book studies for adults.

Mike and Liz have two grown daughters.
