Arkansas Home Mission Society Church Planting Coordinator

Rev. Don Gregory is the Church Planting Coordinator for Arkansas Home Mission Society. As coordinator he assists the new church-planting ministries in his region, as needed, to help develop new church congregations. Don is also a Mother/Daughter church-planting specialist, certified by Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI).

In 1990 Don moved his family to Southaven, Mississippi, to develop a mission church, now known as Southaven Community Church. With the help and foresight of the Moark Home Mission Board, Arkansas Home Mission Society, General Baptist Home Missions, and the “Committed We Build” campaign, acreage was purchased and a new church facility was constructed. The church corners Airways Blvd. and Plum Point Rd. in Southaven.

Don and Linda have three married daughters and two grandchildren.

Spanish Language Ministry Director in Arkansas

In 2006 Arkansas Home Mission Society (AHMS) arranged for Rev. Pedro Ramirez to come to the United States from Costa Rica. Also assisted by First GB Church, Heber Springs, and National Missions, Pedro heads Hispanic ministries in Arkansas and is a resource for Hispanic ministries to other mission boards. He is prospecting in different locations with intentions of starting ESL classes or other projects hoping to reach someone who could give leadership to a new nucleus of ministry.  AHMS is looking forward to planting several Hispanic works out of its several associations.

Pedro and his family live in Heber Springs. He is also on the staff of First GB Church in Heber Springs, where he leads a weekly Hispanic worship.

Pedro has been in ministerial work since 1978 as a missionary, preacher, evangelist, and Bible study leader in a university. He has taught theology, hermeneutics, New Testament, and ecclesiology. He has also pastored in Mexico.

Pedro and Dollie have five children.
