The executive director serves as the chief executive officer for the General Association of General Baptists and the Council of Associations and such other responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Council of Associations or the Executive Council.  The executive director leads and has general oversight of the entire work of the denomination, in keeping with the vision, objectives, doctrines, and practices of the constitution.

General Baptists are moving forward under the theme of “No Church Left Behind.”

To leave no church behind, our efforts will be centered in  “Gaining Agenda Harmony” and “Building Movement Loyalty.”  We will be actively involved in the assignment given the church to take the planet for Christ.  We will be working with our churches through

1.      NewStart Churches – the start of a brand new church

2.      ReStart Churches – Using a former building and/or remnant group of people

3.      ReFocusing Churches – The process of re-capturing the vision and heart of Jesus for His Church to be radiant, healthy, and multiplying.  This requires the Church to move from an inward to outward focus.

4.      Parenting Churches – Taking personal ownership of a new start or re-start project to multiply the kingdom.  It may involve one church or a group of churches coming together.

We will be organizing a coaching network to assist churches at all levels in order that General Baptist churches may be healthy, kingdom-minded churches

...doing together what we cannot do alone.

General Baptist churches partner together in Unified Giving to reach the unchurched in a world where millions have never heard the gospel.

Each General Baptist church is encouraged to share 10 percent in Unified Giving for missions and ministry. Participating churches have an outreach in completing the biblical directive of "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Mt. 28:19).

Unified Giving is the financial lifeline, making possible planting of churches, services to churches and pastors, and training to accomplish the vision God has provided on which we are focused.
          1. Making disciples for Christ
          2. Developing leaders
          3. Growing healthy churches

Our Unified Giving goal this year is $1,659,317.

General Baptist Unified Giving churches are partnering together to accomplish for eternity's sake what they cannot accomplish by themselves.

       Unified Giving in 2007 – $1,499,817.72!

General Baptists have a vision for Making Disciples for Christ, Developing Leaders, and Growing Healthy Churches. General Baptist churches partnering together in Unified Giving are aggressively addressing their responsibility as defined in Acts 1:8.

We are grateful to each participating church. All churches, large and small, are significant in the Acts 1:8 mission. We especially want to recognize the top 10 General Baptist churches that contributed to Unified Giving during 2007.
