Dear Mission Support
Team,
Hi Ho, Hi Ho! It's to Language School We Go!
Greetings from beautiful Antigua, Guatemala. What a
wonderful place this is.
full of history and culture and home of C.S.A (Christian
Spanish Academy). We
will be here for three months, we arrived on April 1st and
will return to Faith
Home on June 30. It has been said that you cannot teach an
old dog new tricks
however we have advanced through Grado A in about two weeks
and are into Grado
B. We each have our own personal teacher. We are in class
from 8 to 12 each
morning and then spend most of the afternoon studying. We
are actually
speaking some Spanish. Far from fluent but closer than we
were three weeks
ago. It is sure fun to be able to go into a store or
restaurant and be able to
converse somewhat with the people there.
We do miss Faith Home and the ministry there. We will begin
construction on the
vocational school in May and Sid is sure itching to be there
when that happens.
We have had many blessings in the last while as we have
received e-mails from
individuals or groups wanting to get involved in the
vocational program. We
are anxious to get started and see what God has in store for
the vocational
training and the transition program.
We know that it is early but we will be furloughing in
September and October.
If you would be interested in having us visit your church
please let us know.
We already have two weekends booked. We love to share the
ministry at Faith
Home and in Honduras.
In His Service,
Sid and Vicki Smith
