     Oakland City University was founded by the General Baptist denomination in 1885. This year OCU will graduate 623 students with degrees ranking from certificates to doctorates.
     Among the graduates will be Sunday School teachers, children's ministry workers,Oakland City University worship leaders, and ministers. Some may even become church planters in the States or missionaries in another country for General Baptists.
     OCU is supported by General Baptists through church contributions to Unified Giving and direct donations. General Baptist students who qualify can receive a scholarship of up to 50% of tuition.
