Oakland City
University was founded by the General Baptist denomination in 1885.
This year OCU will graduate 623 students with degrees ranking from
certificates to doctorates.
Among the graduates will be Sunday School teachers, children's
ministry workers,
worship leaders, and ministers. Some may even become church
planters in the States or
missionaries in another country for General Baptists.
OCU is supported by General Baptists
through church contributions to Unified Giving and direct
donations. General
Baptist students who qualify can receive a scholarship of up to 50%
of tuition.
